Ashurst announces reappointment of managing partner

3 December 2009

Ashurst today announces that Simon Bromwich has been reappointed by the firm's Board to serve a further three-year term as managing partner.

Simon was first appointed in January 2004 and subsequently re-appointed in January 2007. His new term will come to an end in January 2013.

Simon Bromwich commented:

"I am very pleased to continue as managing partner. We still have a way to go to ensure that we emerge strongly from the downturn but I am confident that this is exactly what Ashurst will do and I look forward to playing my part in achieving that."

Ashurst senior partner Charlie Geffen commented:

"Simon has dealt decisively with the tough market conditions that we have faced.  Under his management we have also been able to maintain momentum by making a number of key investments and have made significant progress on our international strategy. I am delighted that he has agreed to continue for another term and look forward to working with him on the next stage of the firm's development."
