Simon Beddow is the managing partner of
european corporate and has been a partner in the
corporate department in
London since 1998. Since qualifying as a solicitor in 1989 Simon
has gained experience in all aspects of UK and international
corporate finance and has wide experience of public and private
M&A transactions, public takeovers, IPOs, secondary issues,
and private equity transactions. Many of the transactions
on which Simon has worked are cross-border in nature and he has
long experience of managing cross-border teams of lawyers both
from within Ashurst and from external law firms.
Simon has experience of working overseas having worked in 1992/3 on
secondment in Toronto with McCarthy Tétrault, a leading Canadian
firm, and in 2004/5 in Ashurst's Paris office. From
2005-2009, Simon was managing partner of Ashurst Germany and
divided his time between Ashurst's Frankfurt and Munich
offices. He speaks English, French and German.
